²² For the Father judges no one, but ^(A)has committed all judgment to the Son, ²³ that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. ^(B)He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

Life and Judgment Are Through the Son

²⁴ “Most assuredly, I say to you, ^(C)he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, ^(D)but has passed from death into life. ²⁵ Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when ^(E)the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live. ²⁶ For ^(F)as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have ^(G)life in Himself, ²⁷ and ^(H)has given Him authority to execute judgment also, ^(I)because He is the Son of Man.

³¹ because He has appointed a day on which ^(A)He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by ^(B)raising Him from the dead.”

⁴² And ^(A)He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify ^(B)that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge ^(C)of the living and the dead.

The Great White Throne Judgment

¹¹ Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face ^(A)the earth and the heaven fled away. ^(B)And there was found no place for them. ¹² And I saw the dead, ^(C)small and great, standing before ^[a]God, ^(D)and books were opened. And another ^(E)book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged ^(F)according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. ¹³ The sea gave up the dead who were in it, ^(G)and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. ^(H)And they were judged, each one according to his works. ¹⁴ Then ^(I)Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. ^(J)This is the second ^[b]death. ¹⁵ And anyone not found written in the Book of Life ^(K)was cast into the lake of fire.
